My class went on a field trip to Yorkville in Toronto this afternoon to check out the window and in-store displays of the luxury & high end retailers this season. We started at Anthropologie, made our way to Free People, Teatro Verde, Harry Rosen, Kate Spade, Pottery Barn, Burberry, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Williams Sonoma. It was a lovely day. Here are some images I took of our adventure.

One thing I wish I had money for when I was living in Turkey was a Turkish carpet. They were handmade and beautiful, (and also wildly expensive). A dream would be to go back one day and bring one home. Whenever I’ve traveled, I’ve made a point of picking up little tchotchkes, small ceramics, instruments, and just little things I think will work in my space. I like to surround myself with these attractive little reminders of fun trips and good memories with friends & family. This post is an ode to these rugs. Because I’m interested in interior design, home staging, photostyling etc, these images exemplify what a perfect staple they make to any home decor scenario.
